MALE MATTERS
PKAdventure Hosts ‘Truth in Action’ at Local Theaters
This Saturday, April 12, Promise Keepers will host a cinema and community service event called PKAdventure in 15 cities across the country.
The event begins at 8 a.m. with a 90-minute film production featuring Del Tackett from Focus on the Family’s Truth Project about the dramatic and humorous story of six guys trying to sustain a men’s Bible study. The presentation will also include big-screen worship with the band PK7 and emcee pastor Matt Uldrich of Tucson, Ariz.
Following the digital video, teams of men will disperse to a variety of community service projects. Efforts around the nation include building a youth camp, a barn raising, park clean up, community barbecues, block parties, house painting, building renovation, food drives, blood drives and clothing drives.
“Promise Keepers helps men connect with God and each other, whether we’re in theaters, arenas, at work, at home, at play or at church,” said Tom Fortson, president and chief executive officer of Promise Keepers. “We’ve got a creative presentation on the foundational truths of Christianity that men can relate to, without being trite and without easy answers.”
